Indiana University's KIP Israel Program to Meet Israeli Innovators

Twenty-five MBA students from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University will be experiencing  Israel this March with Shorashim.

Not only will they experience Israel and meet Israelis, the students will be mingling with Israel’s top innovators beginning with Shai Agassi, CEO of Better Place.

Taglit-Birthright Israel Chicago Community Trip "Digs" Their Partnership Region

 A fascinating discovery has been made in Chicago’s partnership region of Kiryat Gat-Lachish –Shafir.  In an untouched forest which abuts all three municipalities in the region, a pottery factory has been discovered dating back to at least the Ottoman period.  

 

Hundreds of Chicago-Area Hebrew Students Come Together to Celebrate Israeli Culture

Shorashim’s Club Israel will present its third annual excursion day for Hebrew Students this Monday and Tuesday November 2 and 3, 2009 at the Wlimette Theater and Congregation Beth Hillel B'nai Emunah. The excursion day is an opportunity for students and teachers alike to enjoy Israeli cinema, food, and music. The program, now in its third year has grown and includes:  Evanston Township, New Trier, Niles North, Niles West, Highland Park, Deerfield, Glenbrook South, and Chicagoland Jewish High Schools

Shorashim to Offer Taglit-Birthright Israel Trip for Participants with Aspergers Syndrome

Registration has begun for the Taglit-Birthright Israel: Shorashim trip for Jewish 18 to 26 year olds with Aspergers Syndrome. Shorashim will once again be partnering with KOACH to offer this incredible experience.  To register email: sharna@shorashim.org 
 

Shorashim Receives Quality Award from Taglit-Birthright Israel

At its semi-annual trip organizer's meeting on September 2, 2009, Taglit-Birthright Israel recognized Shorashim's outstanding acheivement in the area of mifgash, encounter between North American Jews and Israeli peers. The award is part of a new program initiated by Taglit-Birthright Israel to identify trip organizers who show outstanding quality in their programs.
